Ohio Open - March 28-29, 2009

Welcome to the Ohio Open 2009 website. More information and any announcements may be posted here as the competition draws closer. This competition is being organized by the KOII Cube Club and is sponsored in part by canadianCUBING.


General Info

*This competition will be held in Columbus, Ohio at the Ohio State University.
*It will take place over 2 days, and should offer all official events.
*Competitors should be familiar with the 2009 version of the WCA regulations, which will come into effect in February.
*Please refer to the pre-registration page for competition fees, or to pre-pay.


FAQs

How fast do I need to be, or how do my times compare?
> Under 10 minutes for most events. Depending on numbers and the event, as long as you are under 10:00 you will be able to complete an average of 5. To see how you stack up, you can check out results from nearby competitions in KY, IN, or OH.

Do I need to register if I'm just going to watch?
> No. You are more than welcome to just watch. There is no entrance fee, so come enjoy.

Do I get to use my own cube?
> Yes, you should provide your own cube (or borrow one). Make sure it is legal!

I've never competed before. Is there anything I should know?
> It would be a good idea to look over the regulations, especially Article A. You can also check out this great competitors tutorial.
